Our best bits of 2025

No end of year would be complete without a look back at all the goings-on and one or two highlights...

Exciting projects galore

2025 was another busy year at Stick, full of fantastic projects with clients old and new, including:

  • Providing ongoing marketing support for our friends at Hart Doors, working as an extension of their team to strategically elevate their global brand online.
  • After its gorgeous refurb, Radisson Blu Durham is now the perfect place for work and play and we had the enviable task of letting people know through a range of marketing activities – in the North East and beyond!
  • Glass and Mirror Solutions’ glass products and installations are stunning, and we helped share their architectural masterpieces far and wide, steadily working our way up the search rankings to secure increased web traffic year on year.
  • Newcastle-based ADM Pressings have had an exciting year investing in manufacturing innovation and we helped them tell their story in the manufacturing and metal pressing sector through PR, content and social media.
  • The Energy Group aim to unlock Net Zero targets and we worked with them to bring a new website concept to life as they support SMEs in their carbon reduction journey.
  • We delivered digital and email marketing to science-backed supplement company AltruVita as they go from strength-to-strength growing their brand on Shopify.
  • The Bowes Museum brings art and culture to County Durham and we supported them with some eye-catching design and print.
  • Hexham-based French interior brand French & Wilder is a must-visit for beautiful French-inspired pieces, but if you fancy shopping online: we launched their new eCommerce store.
  • We helped Stop Smoking London to make a difference in the capital with campaign content, partner toolkits, social media, website updates and paid activity.
  • The Corbridge Larder is cheese institution, and we were pleased to continue to support them with local food content and email marketing.

Stick turned 5!

Yes, it was our fifth birthday and though we kept the celebrations small (too much exciting work to be getting on with!) we did take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and all the fantastic things we have in store:

2025 has been a great year for us at Stick. I feel hugely proud that we celebrated our 5th birthday and have continued to enjoy countless success stories with our clients 🥂

I’m more convinced than ever that there is nothing better than helping small businesses thrive. Here’s to the next five!

- Sarah, Stick Marketing Director

Our Forest of Sticks continued to grow

In our efforts to become a more ethical business, we partnered with Tree-Nation, a non-profit that specialises in planting trees around the world to protect and restore forests, protecting biodiversity and creating jobs along the way.

Now an official Net Zero team, we plant trees through Tree-Nation each month to offset our own carbon, as well as one a year for every client we have.

In 2025 our forest grew to a magnificent 301 trees, all helping to improve our air quality and reduce climate change.

We can’t wait to plant more in 2026!

Other highlights from this year:

Undertaking the challenge of Escape Room Durham as part of our (delayed) Christmas 2024 night out. We did get out but only just! We should stick to marketing instead of cryptic clues.

A team swim at beautiful Cullercoats led by frequent wild swimmer Emma (beats a Zoom call any day!). We’d love to make this more of a regular activity, on the North East’s sunnier days.

Attending the London Tobacco Alliance’s three-year milestone event. It was rewarding to see how our work, including London's first ever LGBTQ+ focused campaign, has had impact.

Nicky, who has had the privilege of working on the Stop Smoking London campaign commented:

Attending the Alliance’s three-year milestone event earlier this year was a standout moment. It brought together partners from across London to reflect on progress, share learning and look ahead and it was rewarding to see how the work, including London's first ever LGBTQ+ focused campaign has supported that wider impact.

Working with Tracy Parr and Jon Winter has been a collaborative and purpose-driven experience. And it's one that shows how strong, joined-up communications rooted in creative ideas can genuinely support public health outcomes.

New Year, new projects

We might be winding down for Christmas, but we’re already looking forward to these new projects in 2026:

  • Two websites launching in January; a revamped website for a growing client in the water sector and a new start up civil engineering website
  • A new website for an eLearning client
  • We have an exciting new rewilding client booked in for a brand identity and website project bringing nature to doorsteps across the UK
  • Not forgetting our lovely existing clients, we have lots of ideas for how we can continue to help them grow!

Can’t wait!

Before we head off to eat our weight in mince pies and cheese, we just want to say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful clients - without whom this year wouldn’t have been such a joy. Bring on 2026!
